Information stored on your device

Your progress (best score, dust, coins, lives, owned moths, missions, daily streak and settings) is saved in a file on your device. It is not uploaded, and it is deleted when you uninstall the game.

Unity Gaming Services

Mothlight uses Unity Gaming Services, provided by Unity Technologies, for three things:

On iPhone, if you are signed in to Game Center, your best score is also submitted to Apple Game Center under Apple's privacy policy.

Unity processes this data under its Game Player and App User Privacy Policy.

Advertising

Mothlight shows rewarded video ads only when you choose to watch one, for example to get an extra life or to revive. There are no banner ads and no ads that play without you asking.

Ads are delivered by Unity LevelPlay, which works with advertising partners such as Unity Ads. To serve and measure ads, these services may collect your device's advertising identifier, IP address, device and app information, and how you interact with ads. If you do not allow personalised ads, ads are still shown when you ask for them but are not personalised. You can also reset or limit your advertising ID in your device settings.

On iPhone, Mothlight asks for your permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt before your advertising identifier is used. If you choose Ask App Not to Track, ads are still available when you ask for them but are not personalised.

In-app purchases

Coin packs and the one-time starter pack are sold through Google Play Billing on Android and the App Store on iOS. Payment is handled entirely by Google or Apple under their own privacy policies. Mothlight receives only a purchase confirmation and a transaction ID, which it uses to add your coins and to avoid granting the same purchase twice.

Notifications

If you allow notifications, Mothlight schedules reminders on your device, such as when your lives are full or a daily reward is ready. They are created on your device and no notification data is sent to us. You can turn them off in your device settings at any time.

Your choices

Depending on where you live (for example the EU, UK or California), you may have rights to access, correct, delete or object to the processing of your personal data. Contact us to use them.

Children

Mothlight is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the game, contact us and we will delete it.

Security and retention

Data sent to Unity and ad partners travels over encrypted connections. Analytics and leaderboard data are kept only as long as needed to run and improve the game, following Unity's retention periods, or until you ask us to delete them.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the effective date above. Significant changes will also be mentioned in the game's update notes.
